Harjinder Kaur Dedicates Commonwealth Games 2026 Silver Medal to Family, Coaches; Eyes Gold on Home Soil

Indian weightlifter Harjinder Kaur, who won the silver medal in the women’s 69kg category at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, dedicated her achievement to her family and coaches for their unwavering support throughout her journey.

Speaking after her medal-winning performance, Harjinder expressed gratitude to those who helped shape her career and vowed to return stronger with the goal of winning gold at the next Commonwealth Games.

Harjinder said her family played the biggest role in helping her reach the international stage.

“First of all, I would like to dedicate the medal to my family, as they played a huge role in helping me reach this point.”

The Indian weightlifter also thanked her coaches, Paramjit Sharma and Jaspal Singh, for believing in her abilities from the beginning.
